I have a Windows 7 .iso image file that I burned to a DVD. I want to install it on Parallels Desktop. When the virtual machine loads, however, it states that it cannot boot up from the CD.

I have tried changing the boot order and have even tried installing it with BootCamp. It still does not work.

My guess is that something isn't working with the DVD but I could be wrong.

Can anyone help me?

Chances are the program you used to burn the ISO image did not make it bootable.

Also use the ISO image to install Windows inside Parallels. When it asks you for the CD image, point it to your ISO image and see if that boots up.

I also tried that. I placed the ISO image on my desktop and tried to boot up from the hard drive. That didn't work either.
