This is driving me nuts.

I make the necessary modifications in Windows XP settings:
One to have a HP printer installed
Second to allow third party software to run.

For some reason Windows can't be shut down properly.
It sticka in th epahse where it says "windows saves your settings" ....endlesly
So I have to arrange for a forced stop of paralleles
Opening parallels again nd stating th eviryal windows again I am prompted that paralleles will connect Windows based on the the settings it has in memory or a similar wording

So botton line my questions are
How can I :
-make windows shut down in parelels so it really saves the new settings?
-How can I arrange that parallels will not go back to old windows settings
it once knew

appreciate to hear you experience and tips
