Parallels image grows fast

I have a parallels installation on my mac.
Everything is fine but I see the whole .hdd image getting bigger and bigger over time.

So I tried to run the parallels compressor.
But it seems to stuck.
It started with a bar, it restarted the virtual machine(windows)
It displayed me a message that it cannot connect to parallels compressor image.
Nothing else.

Am I doing something wrong? What is going on?
