Parallels on the Mac Mini + ipad control

How well does Parallels work on the current Mac Mini? Does the 2 GB of ram allow it to function well or would an upgrade be required? Also how well would it work to essentially turn an ipad into a portable dual boot netbook using the iteleport app and parallels on a mac mini?
