Parallels - os folders on windows 7

I need my os folders to be acessable on windows 7 when Im runing parallels. It has worked in past setups. I use to be able to open my computer in windows and it would show the os drives. Also the win desktop would have the same folders that were on my os desktop. How do I make this change? Does like pc or like mac option have anything to do with this? I cant remember what i picked when I installed parallels and I cant figure out how to go back to change that option, Do I need to reinstall windows? if so how? thx so much!
