I have searched the forum but didn't see an answer. I have contacted Parallels support and searched their site etc. Parallels has not been allowing me to boot for several versions. Last night I updated to the newest version and when the Parallels window starts and then flips to the Windows boot screen it simply hangs at the booting from hard drive. Way back it used to give the option for bootcamp or parallels. Now I get no choices and a lock up. I force quit and start over. I actually tried to load several versions back to find the one that works. I went back to 2.5 (forget the build) and that did the same thing. When I contacted support prior to this event the support team was no help. I am considering switching over to VMware for $39 with rebate.

I have been tinkering with Parallels and did the uninstall reinstall reboot, repair permissions started Parallels back up and went through the custom install and Bootcamp is now greyed out. Parallels had a fix did that without any fix at all. Now I am really thinking about VMware. Still waiting to hear from support maybe it will work.
