So I recently started using parallels with windows 8 for school so I could use the VLC player to speed up .wmv lecture videos. I have changed all the associations to have VLC become the default player but it still wants to open in windows media player when I click the link. Also, when I right click the link it doesn't give the option to "open with" so now I seem to have run out of solution for this. Please help because parallels becomes useless for me if I cant use it to speed up these videos. Thanks!
