Is anyone else paranoid about their Mac? Every now and then I wonder how much HD space is being taken up by stuff, what is going on in the background that I don't know about, if I've screwed anything up, if I'm getting 100% performance out of it and a bunch of other things...

Especially when I install Virtual PC in a few days....that's going to be nervewracking. I dunno I'm going to be able to keep track of everything.

hehehe... I have a 20gb HD so I am always paranoid. Every once in a while I just go throught it and get rid of anything I don't need. For me, that is the best way to clear out room for new stuff I want to put on.

Stay away from spyware (i.e. peer to peer network clients), keep your firewall turned on, keep UI altering widgets to a minimum, and you should be safe on most counts.

Also, do your day to day work using a non-administrator account might not be a bad idea.
