Hi all,

I've activated parental control on my kids' iMacs (OS 10.5.6)
The only restriction I've activated is the Time. i.e. they are allowed to use the computer for 2 1/2 hours on Weekdays and 3 1/2 on Weekends.
So far so got.

The younger one use mostly SAFARI to browse some web pages, where as the older one tends to use other programs such as Parallels (to run some Windows apps) and Addium (for Chatting) on that Computer the timer seems to be disabled.

Sometimes the computer locks up at the right time (8:30 PM) sometimes not. Other times (esp. on weekends) the limit of 3 1/2 hours seems not to work, i.e. the Kid is online most of the day, at least more than the 3 1/2 hours allowed.

So heres my question: Is there a known issue with other programs getting a higher priority than "Parental Control" and thereby disabling some of the timer features?

Any hints will be much appreciated,

Yonz
