The time limit parental controls in Snow Leopard apparently limit the total number of hours that a user is logged in, not actual activity time. For example if my kid is limited to 2 hours/day, and then twenty minutes after login she walks away from the computer for 90 minutes, when she comes back the system tells her she has only 10 minutes left; this is even though she has actually used the machine for only 20 minutes!

Does anyone know of 3d party sw that limits time based on actual activity (as indicated by keyboard/mouse) rather than time since login?

Thanks!

Does the time still count down if the user is logged out, or if you switch to another user account?
