and had told me that they did a 3-5 day shipping option. They ordered from the apple store last Sunday and as of today, it has still not arrived.

I have read on here before that sometimes Apple will give rebates or other things if shipping takes longer than it was supposed to and I was wondering if I should I tell them to call Apple? Or is there nothing they can do? Thanks!

Did they get an email notice that it has shipped? You can check the status of your order online. If it hasn't shipped and the "ships in" timeframe has already passed, then I'd call up.

I guess it could depend on what they ordered and how they customized it.

if they customized the machine it'll add to the wait time... the 3-5 shipping time is the time from when the computer is ready to ship...

What machine did they get?

They bought a 24in 2.4 ghz imac. Nothing really highly configured, just one gig of ram.

well... they probably mean, 3-5 business days. So they bought it on Sunday, it would go to the warehouse to get ready on monday. They would have the machine made and ready to roll out on tuesday. So 3-5 business days from tuesday is friday to tuesday of this week (tomorrow). Not saying that it should be excused for the delay, but apple is notorious for holding up orders.

My original 17" powerbook was delayed from Jan to April...

Definitely have them call Apple. They'll need the order number from the email confirmation.

It came today, and I don't think they really were too concerned anymore. They're happy their new toy came! I'm sure they'll love it

Wow, someone on the web who knows the difference between "there," "they're," and "their."
