IF Apple does come out with an updated Powerbook at the Expo. How long until it is in the stores and available to buy?

they usually pride themselves on having them available the day they're announced (officially). but if its more than just a tiny speed bump it will sell out almost instantly and you will get estimated shipping dates from 2 weeks to 3 months.

for an intel PB- unless youre on store.apple.com 3 seconds after the release you wont get one for 3 months.

is an intel pb going to be that much better? what is the draw?

Considering that we're not supposed to see Intel machines until 2006, I'd assume that if there is any sort of PowerBook update in 2005 it will be a G4 still, though perhaps the last G4 PowerBook revision.

I wonder what the A's will be to all the Q's on when the first Intel Macs will be launched. Surely someones bound to ask?

Very true. I know that I would be asking that question of when (exact date please) will the first "Mactels" be released.

yep, a small update may be possible on the PB G4s but nothing major, i suspect they'll leave that until the intels in 2006/2007 ;)
