So heres the situation. I have 3 partitions on my external HDD.

One has folders A+B
the second has B (i just copied B to the 1st partition and so i wanted to delete this one)
the third was empty

i go into Disk Utility to format the 2nd partition as FAT32 named ERASED so that I would know that it was empty. Any way, disk utility throws an error at me and now all i have is the third empty partition.

I just want to be able to retreive folders A+B then format the drive to one HFS+ partition.

Since then i've deleted the remaining empty partition by hitting delete on the partition menu thing in DU. It said that it would erase all the data on that partition which was fine because there was none anyway. So i just need a way to get folder A+B accessable so i can copy them elsewhere.

The HDD is now has no partitions according to DU. I was thinking that I could create one large HFS partition without formatting the drive, then I would be able to access my data? But I doubt it because the file table or whatever would not be there unless it scanned for the files. Can I undelete the partition(the first one that DU messed up). What are your thoughts?
