Park the Hard Drive?

I don't know if this is a valid question or not. I am moving. I was wondering if I should park the hard drive or something prior to boxing up my 1.8 SP MAC G5? Is this even possible or even advisable? Road trip 300 miles.

I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive that when the computer is shut off, the hard drive is parked.
