Hey guys I am going on a trip that will be over night. I am taking the Metrolink train thing and I would like to just park in the parking lot. Do any of you know if I need a parking permit or something so I won't get a ticket?

uhh, usually those parking structures have daily parking available for around $3 a day and then monthly parking permits for 10 or 20 a month.

but I am not metrolink, try calling them. :)

this may or may not be your town

Haha I already sent you the money.

Well the parking lot I parked in was the "Santa Fe (in Orange CA) Public Parking," but did not have any sings/gates for paying. The only thing posted was a No Tresspassers Violators will be towed (or something like this).

I didn't have a choice and had to park there. I get back at around 6 tonight so I suppose will see what happens.

Sorry for the offtopic but $1 a day? or even $3 a day is parking that cheap in the usa? Over here in england it usually is around $3 an hour. =o

depends on where you are. its much more expensive in say downtown chicago than out in the suburbs.

Well it all depends on time of the day you park and where. I had to go to the Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles and the first night I didn't get there till 9 so parking was 11/day, but the next day I showed up at 5 and got the day for $8.

Public transit isn't exactly popular or efficient in the los angeles area, so I would guess that the $1/day parking is designed to lure people who would otherwise drive into the city.
