Parrallels on my Mac - Worth it or not?

I have the newest 27" sandybridge processor iMac, and im really interested in Parrallels and have windows on my mac. Im just curious to know what the benefits of having Windows are and is it true that it take up 2 of the 4 quad core processors and if thats true does that make your mac slower and worth doing that?

The question is Parallels worth it is answered by what you are trying to do with it.

In general, the consensus seems to be unless you have a very specific app that is Windows only, it's probably not necessary.
