Hi there,
Last week my coworker accidentally spilled a little bit of water on my laptop keyboard (about a bottle capful he says). He quickly wiped the water up and let me know about it. My computer was working fine, and then I realized some of the keys didn't want to work. I shut the computer off and took out the battery, flipped it upside down and let it sit for the rest of the day.
I tried the computer the next day and keys "a-l" and keys "z-m" (which were the ones not working before) still weren't working. Everything else is fine except those keys. I've kept the computer off and the battery out for a few days. What else should I do? I read a lot of people taking apart their Macbook and blow drying it etc. but I'm a bit terrified of going that far. If it's what I have to do, then fine.
I really, really don't want to take it to the Apple store because it's not under Apple care or anything anymore, and I'm afraid they'll charge me an arm and a leg to replace something. But if it is something I need to replace, does anyone know what it would be and about how much it'll cost me? Also, any suggestions on what to try before going that route?
Thanks so much!
