I have search this forum for this information yet I haven't found anything.
I'm using a MacBook Pro 7.1. I've been dualbooting for the last 2 years or so and using mainly Windows hence I am kinda new to Mac. I was wondering if any experienced Mac User could give me some quick tip

Here I go:
-All back-up/clone have been taken care of.
-I'm looking for a partition scheme where I could basically separate my root from my data (home). Can I partition and then mount my home on my root?
-I also want to install a Linux (unknown distro yet) VM using Virtual Box hence are there any partitioning consideration I should make ?
Please any help would be greatly appreciated !
