Hello,

Here's what I did…. I thought I plugged in a new WD external hard drive to my macbook pro laptop so I went to partition it with one partition (using disk utility) so it would work on my mac but I accidentally had another drive plugged in so I partitioned the wrong external hard drive. I have used Data Rescue 3 to try to recover the data on the hard drive and it has somewhat but the files are all over the place and are renamed. I haven't overwritten anything on the drive so I was wondering if it's possible to rebuild or get the partition back that I had so I can see the files again…I hope that makes sense. Any help or wise words anyone could provide would be very much appreciated as the data on the drive is very important to me.

Thanks for your time!
