I had just bought the Seagate Backup Plus after being told that it was Mac and Windows compatible. According to Seagate's website (http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/214531en), I have to install a special driver in order for it to be compatible with both OSes, which is okay to me. It's running on NSTF format.

My issue is i would want to partition this drive (1TB worth) into preferably 3 drives and still be able to have it compatible with both Mac & Windows. Looks like right now, i can only

1. make the single 1TB drive multi OS compatible by installing the driver OR
2. partition and format the HDD into FAT, allowing it to be both Mac and Windows compatible but with a limited file transfer size of 4GB OR
3. partition and format the HDD into HFS+ using Disk Utility and have it only Mac compatible.

would anyone be able to advise?
