Hi,

Recently my pc laptop died, so instead of paying a heap of money to fix it, I bought the newest macbook pro 15, with OS X 10.7.3

My main use of a laptop was (and will continue to be) for music production using a software called ableton live.
I want to continue my unfinished projects, and all my plug in software/soft synths etc I run with ableton as a host are for windows, and many of them do not have mac equivalents available. For this reason I need to run windows seven via bootcamp. (I do not want to run parallels because the speed and power will not be enough to run ableton)

So, is bootcamp the best option, and how should I format and partition my hard drive?
I read that it while in windows you cannot even read what is on your mac partition. Does this mean, that EVERYTHING to do with ableton, the plugins, samples and such have to be stored in the windows partition?

just by running the bootcamp walkthrough can I create 3 partitions? the 3rd one being a shared partition (I read something about FAT32)

I have also read about the NTFS reader but I assume this is only to read/write the windows partition whilst running OS lion. I've also heard that it's a bit risky?

once partitioned, I heard it is you cannot increase the size of the bootcamp partition, but that you can decrease it and increase the mac partition? So I should set the bootcamp larger than I think I need?

Finally, when I bought my mbp, it did not come with an installation disc, will this pose any problems? (I have a windows seven installation disc)

Sorry for all the questions, any feedback would be greatly appreciated
