Partitions

Is there any good alternative to Disk utility, for making partitions?
I would like a free one, but tell me commercial solutions too.
I find Disk utility excellent to its job, but it has some limitations, like not allowing to resize partitions on the fly, and I know that third-party apps can do it, and maybe other things too.

I hope there are alternative suggestions.

Disk Utility does allow partitions to be re-sized without re-formatting the partition. See: http://osxdaily.com/2009/11/20/resize-partitions-in-mac-os-x-with-disk-utility/

I have one partition in 'ntfs' and another in 'Mac osx extended journal'.
Disk utility does not allow me to resize partitions.
It can't be done.

Yeah... DU won't resize that NTFS partition, but depending on where the Mac partition is, it should be resizable live. Can you shoot me a screen cap of the layout from Disk Util and maybe I can help you out.
