Partitions

i've got a 500gig Hd, with 10.4 on it, theres no partitions currently, but i've got a 10.5 disc laying about, i wanna know if it'd be possible to partition me hard drive without losing my existing softwares and such, and install 10.5 on the other partition, someone in another thread on here said he's got different OS's on various partitions,

cheers mate yeah useful, and not, i cant do it on 10.4 i need 10.5 as the main OS to sort the partition without formatting everything

Yeah sorry, forgot that, even though I read it.

The other option would be using a third party software that does that, even under Tiger.

iDefrag non destructively partitions… it will cost you though.

It works for me....hmm.
