I have a 2008 15" Unibody Macbook Pro and a 2009 (NVIDIA 9400M) 13" Macbook Pro. I was using the 13" as my portable when I decided to sell it to my friend at $800 for a pristine, never scratched computer. However, the day I was erasing the hard drive, I accidentally dropped it off of my table and onto the tile floor. Now there is a nasty dent that scrapes when the lid is opened, but there is no actual damage to the computer. I called him and told him that he could have the damaged one for $300, an extremely low price. Since my price is so low, I want to swap the keyboard and trackpad, along with the optical drive, as in take those components from the 13" and put them into the 15". I know that the trackpad and the keyboard will be a perfect transfer, but what about the optical drive? I don't think there is a size difference, but are the two models of Superdrive interchangeable? Thanks.
