Hi folks,

I noticed that the anti glare finish on the protective lens covering my icam has started to flake off. Maybe from cleaning to hard? Anyway, can this little cover be replaced? Or is it not worth it. Thanks.

No need to be rude.

You didn't specify your problem enough for us to make an adequate answer.

What camera are you talking about? (iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro - which model,.....)

Sorry about that. I was foolishly abrupt, and I apologize. It's a black 13in. MacBook. Cam is located top of screen. Thanks.---

There should be a small piece of clear plastic that is located in the bezel, in front of the camera lens. This should protect the camera lens, unless it's missing.

Ok, I see what you mean. It looks like there is an anti-glare finish on the bezel that has started to wear off. If I hold the MacBook just right, I can see what looks like a worn finish maybe?

I just wanted to find out if that plastic bezel could be replaced.

If your MacBook still falls under a warranty, yes it could be replaced at no cost - if they (Apple or wherever you bought it) accept the damage.

If you're out of warranty, you can (let) replace it too, but it will cost (I don't know how much).

Look at ifixit.com for MacBook parts.
