When I visited a relative for Christmas, several of us played a game on his Play Station 4. We all had smartphones and used them as input devices. There was a drawing game, there was a trivia game, balderdash, that kind of thing. The smartphones simply had to go to a website, put in some code, and we were all connected to the PS4. It was awesome.

Does something similar exist for Apple TV? I've looked through the app store but can't find anything.

Thank you in advance!

I built out a little app called CouchQuiz which right now allows upto 6 people to connect to your Apple TV to answer over 3000 trivia questions. There are also other apps like Crossy Road, racing games etc which offer similar multiplayer support via iOS devices.

There are a few party games I've found, my favorite so far is SongPop Party, which is a music quiz game, and up to 6 people can play (1 with the Apple TV remote, and 5 with iOS devices). The game takes place on the Apple TV itself, with the iOS devices simply acting as a controller.

What you are looking for are the Jackbox.tv games. Our favourites are Fibbage, but Quiplash is also fun. SongPop has been mentioned. And also Sketch Party TV if you want a drawing game. Spaceteam is also frantic fun. Finally there's TriviaNight, but it's quite buggy.
