I have 2 cards entered into Apple Pay, an Amex which I added first, and a Capital One Mastercard which I entered later. Every time I make a purchase with the Amex (even a swipe transaction or online purchase) I get a notification, almost instantly. With the Mastercard I don't get notifications. I do get them through the Capital One Wallet app, but that's not the same thing. Notifications are turned on for this card.

The Amex is my "default" card in settings. Will it only show notifications of purchases for your default card?

Tap on that card to make it active in PassBook screen, tap the "i" in lower right corner.
Make sure the Notifications is toggled on.

You could also try removing and re-adding it.

It appears that feature isn't universal and Amex does it, but capital one cards do not.

OK, all my cards have that option, figured it was across the board.

It seems like each card can handle the notifications differently.

Amex gives all transactions (apple pay or regular purchases)
Capital one gives apple pay transactions
Wells Fargo debit cards give apple pay transactions without amounts (I believe)

Bummer...I figured that was probably the case. I hope Capital One changes it up to show all transactions, or at least give you the option.
