how exactly do you do the flight ticket using pass source for passbok? i have my boarding pass and im trying to kick it over to passbook to try but in order to generate a bar code you have to choose QR or PDF or etc, yet none of the bar codes look like the one on my actual boarding pass.. any ideas?

boardingpass is supported in passbook but idk if airtran is, if thats what your asking?

Well, not really. For boarding pass, maybe the Passbook is not ready, due to high security requirements. But I just created a pizza coupon pass from passfu.com . It's a real coupon.

He probably meant, this thing is only in beta. You're not supposed to use it just yet.

Have you used it to see if it works?

Again, they aren't actually functioning yet. Sure you could add one, but it doesn't actually work.

Because Passbook isn't functioning yet to the point where you can start using it for real.

Well, you can use it for real with sites like http://www.passsource.com/. You need to decode the QR/Aztec/PDF417 code the airline gives you and then encode it again with Passbook tools like the website mentioned.

However, even if it works, I would be careful, especially with boarding passes - you might get into trouble at the airport because a self-made Passbook boarding pass is not an official document.

Passbook is just a way of displaying information. I'm sure many apps will send your info straight to passbook by the launch of ios6 but at the moment you can add that info manually via a couple of clever sites...

Pizza express codes function perfectly - all passbook does is display a voucher code for your waiter to see.

Boarding cards are obviously a bit more complicated but if you have all of that info you should be able to add it. If airtran is using an uncommon form of barcode that may not be too easy at the moment.

Obviously this is not how the average user will make use of passbook in a couple of months. Developers will update their apps to send your details to passbook and do all the clever location aware reminders and stuff.

Yes it is. But it's not released yet so no one officially supports it just yet.

Anyway, as for the bar code: grab a barcode scanner that can read Aztec bar codes, as those are the ones that should be used for boarding passes sent to consumers, and copy the data. Then put it in a pass and again specify it's an Aztec code. (Alternatively, specify a PDF417 code with the same data if it starts with 'M1').

In any case, be prepared to show the original if necessary.

I have an app called 'Scanner' from Manatee Works that can read PDF417 bar codes, and NeoReader can read Aztec codes.

It works indeed... That's why I'm so excited. :D It's the coupon code that matters. You can write down on a paper or your hand, they'll still honor it. Passbook provides a handy way to carry the coupons around.

I posted the image somewhere on this forum, but couldn't find it... maybe it will be clear if you take a look at their demo pass screen shot: http://passfu.tumblr.com/post/26788605376/you-can-create-your-own-pizzaexpress-coupon-for

If you email them the barcode they can help you set up the pass. support+passsource@kudit.com is the email.
