On the iphone and ipod touch there is a new feature that will erase all the data if the passcode is typed in wrong ten times.

If that were to happen could i just restore the data back when it is backed up to itunes?

After the iPod erases all data will the password stay there or will that be reset too?

In other words will the person who has my iPod be able to use it after it erases all the data or will it still be locked?
