My friend thinks she accidentally entered her Watch into passcode mode while she was on a run. She never set a passcode. Her iPhone will unlock the watch initially when the iPhone is unlocked, but the watch continues to re-lock itself, even while wearing it. What is interesting is that she isn't able to make any changes to the Passcode settings, as this screen in the Watch App on her iPhone is grayed out. She is not able to toggle the "Unlock with iPhone" button either, even though it is green.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I haven't been able to search any information on this online.

Thanks!

Have you tried restarting her watch?

has she pushed either of the two buttons at the top, "turn locking off" or "use passcode"?

she doesn't seem to have a passcode set. therefore it will only unlock when the phone unlocks. either she needs to set a passcode which she can also use independently (but doesn't have to) or can remove the lock entirely.
