So my employer makes us have a passcode on the phone and this policy extends to all devices including the watch and so notifications don’t appear on the watch as a result.

What options are there to change this?

I also have device management on my phone with a 10 digit passcode on both phone and watch and do get all notifications on my watch... check your settings in the watch app

The passcode is only required if the watch isn’t on your wrist. You will need to put the passcode in when you first put your watch on for the day (or unlock your phone, whatever comes first). It doesn’t affect notifications.

I think the policy that is enforced can be set By your employer. i work for a bank and if I want to get work email on my personal phone it enforces a complex password policy on the phone and locks the watch so it can only be unlocked by the phone. They can probably define the notification policy as well.

I’d rather not have an Apple Watch then have to put a password in every time I got a notification. Just me though.

No need to put a passcode on, you either unlock the watch via passcode or phone when you put it on your wrist, after that it stays unlocked until you take it off again, no need to input passcode for anything while wearing on wrist...

Read the OPs post again, that should give you some context for what I said.

My workplace also enforces passcode on the phone and watch, both of which must change every 45 days.

I do not have to enter a passcode each time to get notifications on the watch... I either unlock the watch when I put it on in the morning by entering the passcode once, or unlocking my phone and raising my wrist (phone unlocks watch) after putting it on. I unlock my watch only once per day.

If OP has to continually enter a passcode, something is messed up.
