Has anyone encountered this since iOS 16.0.2?
Since updating to iOS 16.0.2, I noticed I had to use my passcode in the morning after charging overnight.
I learned from a call this morning to Apple Support that as of iOS 16.0.2, the pass code must be used if the device hasn't been unlocked via Face ID in the past four hours.
This is unacceptable.
There needs to be a way to adjust the amount of time. My personal minimum is eight hours because my routine is to charge the phone overnight and leave the house with a full charge.

Notice it says "and" instead of "and/or" or "or." Apple Support Agent Shaniya says it should say "or."
