Well, in my rush to get out of Japan for the next few weeks I may have screwed up big time, I bought the cheapest ticket back and it transits through Doha. This ordinarily wouldn't be a problem save for the fact that I have an Israeli stamp in my passport. Does anyone know if they do passport checks if merely transiting through the country? If so, would they care that I have an Israeli stamp?

I've never flown into Doha, but I have flown into Kuwait City, and they do check passports.

I don't think it will be a problem, though.

I transited through Doha on my way to Dubai a few weeks ago. You will go through security, but not passport control. In any event, as a transit passenger, an Israeli stamp won't be an issue.

Your stamp shouldn't be an issue. I have stamps from all over the middle east in my passport and no one says anything (except the U.S. funny enough.)
