Just changed my password on Airport Extreme using my iMac>Utilities>Airport Utility.

I thought that my other wireless units in the house would have to sign in again with the new password.

Apparently, that is only partially true . . . I think.

My portable computer immediately connected without having to enter the new password. Same with my iPad. Even a Windows 7 notebook computer !

However, my Roku and my PS-3 can no longer connect to my router and bring up Netflix.

Question: Do most wireless units such as MacBook & iPad automatically get the new password ? My guess is there is some kind of automatic adjustment for units on the router.
Can anyone shed some light on this, please.

Thanks.

There can be two different passwords, one to administer the AE and another to log on to it. Which did you change?

Also, if you have MobileMe, I think but not sure, it can sync the keychain admin AE password between computers but not your roku or PS3.

Plus you may have to reboot the non-computers to see the network, especially if you change the name or security settings.
