Never mind sorry, I was just being stupid.

I think I screwed up the password for my iMac. When I first set it up I entered in a 4 digit password then later got rid of it by creating a new password in system preferences by leaving the new password field blank. Now when I tried to put in a password again (when I used terminal it wouldn't accept the "blank" no password) it says the original password is invalid. I'm using 10.8.2, what can I do?

If you have a recent backup before you screwed things up, restore it. Otherwise, make a new backup, then re-install the OS and import all of your program's either off that backup or just re-download them.
