I’m looking at a 2019 MacBook Air in a pawnshop and I have made a good deal on it below $500 that I’m happy with however I have an issue before I buy it. I want to check and see if it can be resolved. I can log into the computer with a password just fine everything works as it should in the MacBook is an excellent condition however after I have completely booted it up and I am using it will ask for a hard disk password. If I wipe the system completely clean when I get home with it will that fix this issue? There are no other anomalies with the MacBook it works exactly as it should so I’m not certain how big of an issue this is but I thought perhaps if I upgraded operating systems it would become an issue down the road so I wanted to know if this was something I could resolve.
