Hi all,

I'm looking for an application for OS X (or even iOS if it's out there) that's free (or very cheap) where I can store all of my passwords / account information. I don't need something so fancy that it stores credit card information and other extraneous database items... just passwords.

I'd also love for the application to be password protected itself so all the information is safe! Thanks!

I don't use any application. I just use Microsoft Excel and put all of my passwords on that. After I get my document that I want to set as secret. Then I go into disk utility and create a new disk with an encryption. I put a bunch of financial things, passwords, and all different kinds of things that I want to keep final in that disk. It is also password protected with the encryption.

Keychain is more for the computer remembering all the passwords and isn't the nicest UI to just look something up.

I thought about the Excel idea, but getting into that document, editing it, and then re-encrypting it is a huge pain.

Remember you can always create a secure note in Keychain, containing a list of passwords, credit card info, etc. that you want to secure.

You don't have to encrypt the document. Just put a password on that disk image. Then you can just save

I use LastPass and love it. It's a browser plugin that works well for web site passwords.

1Password has a lot of random promotions. Many people got it when they did a share with friends promotion last fall. It spread like wildfire.

You could wait for a promotion like this to come up again.
