Password Protect a Folder

Hi.
I have a MacBook Air 2017.
Could I please have some thoughts about password protect a folder, Seen this so could you please have a look and say yes/No to it.

It recommends making a protected disk image (which is the usual recommendation), so “yes”. I haven’t made one in awhile so I’m not sure if all of the steps are current.
