Password Protect an External Hard-drive

I have an external hard drive that I'd like to put a password on. The problem is that my wife uses a PC (windows 7) and I'm on a MacBook.

Does anyone know of a program that functions on both Windows and Mac OS?

Yes use TrueCrypt.

Only Mac OS you have encrypted disk images.
