My son, who has an Ipad 2, forgot his password, and has tried numerous times to recover it so much so that the Ipad has now shutdown and will not allow him to do anything further. What can he do about it, or how can this be fixed?

You can do NOTHING except restore the iPad completely. I experienced this problem, and I had to restore my iPad. Nobody even Apple can tell you know the old passcode because it is encrypted and not sent to :apple:

How does he go about restoring the Ipad?
