Hi,

I'll be getting my mac tomm and am wondering how I can tweak the settings so that each time I/anyone tries to install a software, a password is required.

does this have to do something with an admin account? Is it possible to do so in windows? it'd be great to experiment on windows first and then do it on my 15" macbook!

Thanks,

when you install software with an installer a password will always be required. when installing via simply drag n drop into the Applications folder no password is required in an admin account but in a standard account its required.
