Password screen looping

Completed a software update early today and now I cannot login to my 17 mbp. After I enter my password it seems to be accepted, but the screen loops back to the "enter password" screen.

Any ideas?

Try safe login.

Before clicking the login icon, hold down the Shift key. If you are able to login it is most likely a LaunchAgent problem.

Nope. Caps is off. Password has not been denied.

Cannot login via safe mode either. Same issue happens.
