I've been having some odd issues with my Apple ID password recently.
I went to Apple ID website to check how I could remove a very old email address that is somehow still associated with my account.
I used my Apple ID user name (email address) and the normal password which works for iTunes, App Store, iCloud, everything Apple.
Except it didn't. I KNEW the password was right but it wouldn't accept it. So, as a plan B, I put in the only other Apple password I have... the simple 4 digit password for unlocking the iMac. It worked! How on earth????

Odd thing is it sometimes goes back to using my normal Apple ID password, and another odd thing it happened logging on to iCloud online a few days ago too.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening??

Cheers

You could give a call to Apple. You could also try to change your Apple ID password and see if that clears it up.

I think you're right, I'll try a new password on the Apple ID and see if that works. I'll update when done :)
