I just noticed this behavior after my upgrade to 10.11.4 totally failed (no app opening, none of the files showing), and then I reverted to 10.11.3 using full Time Machine restore. So here is what I am trying to do:
I have several folders tagged with Red tag, say Folder 2 is one of them.
Under normal process, say I want to copy a file from Folder 1 to Folder 2. I navigate to Folder 1 the usual way (without using tags as a shortcut), Cmd+C the file, then navigate to Folder 2 (without using tags as a shortcut), press Cmd+V and a copy of the file is made in Folder 2.
Doing this slightly other way - in 2nd step, if I navigate to Folder 2 using Red tag at bottom left of Finder sidebar and then click on Folder 2, and then do Cmd+V, the file DOES NOT get pasted there.
I am curious if this is 'normal' behavior, or is this happening due to the restore I had to do and may be fixed if I do complete system restore through Carbon Copy Cloner. Can someone please try this and confirm? Thanks!
