Hey everyone,

When i take a screenshot using the copy-to clipboard key shortcuts (command + control + shift + 3 or 4), the pasted result of this is extremely magnified of what the screen shows.

Is there a setting to adjust the size of my pasted screenshot?

When i don't hold down control (to copy screenshot into clipboard), the resulting screenshot created on the desktop seems to be proper size.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't know any reason why it would only do that when you copy to clipboard, but the only way it COULD do that is on a retina display. Are you using a retina display?

Hey - thanks for the response - I am using a retina display.

MBP 13" | i7 | 8GB RAM | Mavericks

It could be that the app you were using didn't support retina resolution so it got magnified just like it would on a normal non-retina Mac.

ok thanks for the help.

I was pasting it into office suite apps (Word/Outlook) as well as attempting to paste it into my Parallels VM.

Pasting it into the a new gmail email within the Mac Chrome Web Browser works fine. Pasting it into Mac Evernote app works fine.

Guess it's dependent on the application supporting retina display?
