I have a 12" PowerBook that I would love to increase the performance on a bit, and was considering replacing the HDD with a solid state drive. I am willing to sacrifice storage space that is not so important to me. The PATA SSD I've had my eye on is one from Super Talent, with a quoted read/write speed of 80/60 MB per second, respectively. How much of an improvement is this over a standard 5400rpm, if much at all?
I know about the price, limitations of space, etc; please don't remind me. I want to know the speed, and if it would be a noticeably jump.
