Patients' kin may watch life-and-death dramas

More hospitals are allowing families to be present during resuscitation of their loved one. The Emergency Nurses Association endorsed this over a decade ago. The heart association has endorsed the practice in 2000. Doctors have just recently agreed. It helps to allay the anxiety of families.

I don't know if I would want too nor could I watch something like that. After seeing a dead body from my accident it has pretty much scared me for life, as well as making me numb to the fact of death.

It's good to know people can now watch/be there if they feel the desire.

I think that the practice of allowing families to watch is a good thing. It allows to feel apart of the situation. Then they can have the feeling that everything possible was done, as mentioned in the article. I view it as similar to allowing fathers in the delivery room. The connection gives comfort to the family. It helpful even if the outcome is positive or negative.
