iPhone Pausing of Radio Apps..

Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this.. but whenever I'm out and using my data to listen to a radio app (such as Kiss, BBC Radio etc.), when my data changes from 4G to 3G it will stop and won't start again unless I get my phone out and manually have to tap the 'Play' button on the lock screen - this is especially annoying when driving and listening as connection changes all the time then! Anyone else experiencing this? Before iOS11 it used to automatically re-connect after a few seconds? ..
