Pay for magazine subscription with iTunes cards?

I've found some interesting magazines from the newsstand and zinio app that I would like to subscribe to, I was just wondering if I could pay for the magazine subscriptions using the balance on my iTunes card or can I only pay it with a credit card?

For Zinio, you have to pay separate. Not sure about Newsstand though. Probably can as they're just In-App Purchases.
