iPhone 11 Pro Paying off Upgrade early

I called Citizens today and got my X paid off so I could order this Friday. Anyone know how long it takes for the system to update so it’ll show that I’m paid up? When i check now it still wants me to turn in my current phone.

Why didn’t you just ask them when you had them on the phone?

I did and the lady said she wasn’t sure. I chatted with Apple support and they also couldn’t give me “an exact time frame” in their words. I figured maybe someone here has done it before and may be able to share their experience.

Why pay off iUP early if you are upgrading?

I didn’t trade up after 12 months. Phones close to being paid off so there’s no sense in trading it in now. I was going to just wait till December when it’s paid off but my wife needs a new phone so I’ll pass her my X
